I find it extraordinary that the ARRL and CQ have done so little to implement interoperability between their contest log-checking efforts.  Of course, ARRL might find it difficult to justify the cost of DXCC submissions if that were the case.

I'm in the process of trying to finish my 160M DXCC - have it worked but not confirmed - and find that a lot of QSOs, particularly old ones, are not on LOTW.  I have 160K QSOs on LOTW, most in contests, and was one of the beta testers, but so far only 59K are confirmed by LOTW. Amusingly, it would cost me $120 just to get DXCC credit for the QSOs that *are* confirmed by LOTW.

Also true but that doesn’t mean that LoTW was not modeled after it.

Wasn’t that how it was done in the old days? From what I gather, LoTW was
designed to be a modern version of that.

I have wondered for about 50 years that if it were possible to search the
ARRL contests logs and find your call and if you submitted a log for the
same contest and they match if this could somehow achieve DXCC credit for
the contact.
