It is a valid callsign for use in the USA.
This would be an issue in a contest like CQ WW where the multiplier status is
determined by the callsign. In Sweepstakes, the section is part of the
exchange so including extra portable info is not required.
Which is good, because neither you or I sent /0 or /1 as part of our call last
weekend.
