It never ceases to amaze me that some people don't know geography and
prefixes. Two stations have my QTH as NS instead of NH.
The callsign N1IX cannot be in NS!

Subject: [CQ-Contest] Copying exchanges in ARRL DX CW
First, the 2017 ARRL DX CW contest results are posted on the ARRL web site.
Next, it never ceases to amaze me how a) some people don't bother listening
to the exchange and go with prefills, and b) some that do depend on prefills
have a VERY out of date CTY file (in which my state is listed as an
exception).
In the contest, I had just over 1700 QSOs. 70 (4%) got a QSO dinged for an
incorrect QTH. Some of the calls involved are regulars worked every year.
In 2017, I operated from VA, remotely (sorry, EI5DI) using W4AAW's station.
Out of the 70 miscopies, states listed were as follows:
46 - CO (my home QTH since 2009)
15 - PA (my home QTH prior to 2009)
2 - VT (one dit off from VA)
2 - WA (one letter off from VA)
3 - UA (one dit off from VA, but not a state)
1 - NY (because a 2-land call?)
1 - MD (no explanation)
