Saturday, May 15 from 12:00 to 01:00 in room 3.
RTTY from the Stanford University Amateur Radio Club station W6YX.
The Stanford University club station W6YX has a history dating back to the
1920's, but participation in RTTY only began in 2001. Improvements in
equipment, operating techniques, and in the number of skilled operators have
lead to rapidly improving contest scores, and a number of First Place finishes
in NAQP RTTY. Our speaker, Stanford alumni and club member Mark, K6UFO, will
discuss how the changes occurred, and how the lessons learned can help
individuals, and other school and club stations, increase their enjoyment of
RTTY and RTTY contesting.
Hope to see y'all, then.
C'Ya, Shelby - K4WW
