Checking is not hard at all, Randy -- same as it is now.
You create a text file with, say, 100 known calls.
the software (the new piece needed to make this reality) would create these
100 calls calling CQ in random locations throughout the spectrum, say 7.000
- 7.050.
The test sponsor would know the 100 correct calls in advance -- the test
would be how many of these calls
the person found.
To make it interesting, you could make the CQs be -- a pileup with a station
barely sending the
call (see if person wastes time hanging in a pile), a weak stations calling
CQ slow and up the band, etc, etc.
It would be very easy to generate the CW in a variety of patterns.
