American patriotism - buy Orion :-) Hello Mario, You don't need that american patriotism. You need to lighten up and try one ! I looked beyond its ugly looks and screaming super specifications, software issues etc. and tried one at a friend. I sold my 1000MP, loaded with all Inrad filters(roofing +2x400+250 etc). Bought an Orion MK 1 some 2 months ago. It is totally different from everything I have used before. I have not been such happy with any HF rig, listening and tuning across the bands since many, many years. Just sold my 2nd 1000MP MKV Field(also with all Inrad stuff). The Orion will certainly_not_be_everyone's_friend, but it is certainly a true landmark. See you in the contest.
