I had two instances of one-way propagation during SS.
While running on 20, I kept hearing K5RC putting out
his call sign right on my frequency, but he never made
a QSO, and never replied to my several transmissions
to him, but as I was mostly working the west coast,
and his calls were infrequent, and none of the stations
working me had any problem with him.
Then I realized I had left on the Dual Watch mode and
had the second receiver active on VY1MB's 15 frequency,
which is where I was hearing K5RC!
K6BV's kept calling CQ but answered no one; I called
five or six times and got no reply, heard others also
call with no answer, conjectured that he was a
dual-freq-hogging SO2R off on the other band, but when
I finally asked "Is anyone there" instead of my call sign,
I heard a very groggy reply, "yes, I'm sorry, I'm here,
I fell asleep".
