Looking for a radio to replace a TS930S as a contest radio.

Any ideas, commentsor directions welcome.

The RF environment is one world class station abut 3/4 mile away and my
antenna sees his tower.

Thanks

Frank;

I have nothing but the best to say about the Icom 761/765. Big radios, but they
have about the best receiver that I have seen. Definitely pull stuff out of the
mud my kenwood can't hear. I have real BAD interference from 2 AM broadcast
stations here that kill my kenwood, but the Icom just keeps on going. (sorta
like the energizer bunny :) I have been using a friends for a couple months now,
and am about to buy one myself.

In a way, QRP is harder on the receiving station, who has to dig
the signal out of the mud. The best ops, no matter what power
they are transmitting, can get the exchange on the first pass through
really awful conditions.
