Here is a collection of alphabets of the Alpha Bravo
Charlie Delta kind, variously known as radio alphabets,
phonetic alphabets and spelling alphabets. There are a
number of distinct ones for English, and also alphabets
for:
French, German, Dutch, Flemish, Italian, Swedish,
Finnish and Russian.
This posting supersedes the one of 11th August. There have
been some additions and corrections.
My thanks to the many contributors, not all of whom get
a mention below.
I can make no guarantee of accuracy of this information;
indeed please send me any corrections or additions.
Comments in square brackets are my own.

Subject: Station Wanted for SS CW

Hi gang,
I am looking for a seriously competitive station to borrow for Sweepstakes
CW single op effort. Will consider anywhere in USA/VE that can be reached
by an airline I have free tickets with. If you know of such a place that
accepts walk-in ops, please let me know.
THANKS!

Subject: PSE LISTEN FOR NOV/TECHS IN CQP
Message-ID: <9NJmac2w165w@thetech.com>
For you serious CQP'ers out there please don't forget us novice/techs. I
know you rely on us for Q's on 10 fone when it is open but do you ever
check the novice CW segments? Probably not. Anyway I will be doing an
expedition to INYO county. I will be one of probably only two stations
on from INYO for CQP. I will be on 2M SSB/FM/CW and 10 fone (10 has been
opening lately so take time to listen) and 15/40 and maybe 75 CW. I will
be desperately looking for mults on 15/40/75 CW if 10 decides not to
co-operate. I am also willing to make skeds for anybody patient enough
to copy my slow cw!
So if you take a tune of the novice/tech cw segments and hear myself or
another op calling CQ CQP please take the time to give us a call.
73, Robert N7STU/YB2ARO
