I did notice that all the others read as preliminary data sheets. Maybe they 
thought originally it would be suitable for amplification.  I did find a 
different link that seemed to load better.

Only other thing might be is one, or both, of them are “leading us down the 
garden path” so to speak.

Very interesting , and "VBsemi"? I never heard about this company. This 
datasheet reads like a different device. I saw this datasheet by co pany called 
"Renesas" https://pdf.dzsc.com/88888/2007121994933481.pdf

I agree 1.6W seems much more realistic. At efficiency of 65% that would be 
about 1W. Sounds about right.
