The inverter microwave ovens are lightweight and cheap. Panasonic made them 
originally.

Solid state microwave ovens are expensive and few. Really expensive, thousands. 
Its hard to beat using a $15 tube from China to get 800 watts of RF. A 300 watt 
pallet from Ampleon using LDMOS is few hundred $.
