I have verified that the XFMR
is indeed arcing over.
My crazy idea was in no way
intended to be permanent, but
just an interim fix until I can find
a replacement.
The Antek Toroids may work, I
just need to see how I can cram
them into the available space.
The 1500VA ones are too big, and
I would need to stack a pair of the
800VA units to get what I need.
I'll talk to them this week.
As an alternative, who rewinds
XFMR's these days ?
Tnx for the replies,
