Subject: [Amps] Ham Radio Magazine article six 572Bs on 160 meters
<There was an article in Ham Radio Magazine from the late 1970s, early 80s. The
builder had six 572Bs in parallel on 160 meters. An extensive internet search
has not found this article. I had a copy for the longest time but 14 moves
while in the Navy <contributed to me losing the only copy I had. Trying to find
this article. Thank you. Lane Ku7i
## You can buy matched sets of 572Bs in two-three or four, thats it.
How are you going to match 6 of em ? Not a practical layout. Plate load Z
would be really low. Then you require 6 tubes, sockets, anode connectors,
suppressors.
And a fil supply to run 6 of em, plus a bifilar. Eats up a lot of room on
any chassis. You dont put 6 engs in a truck, you get a bigger eng. A
single chinese 8877 or a GS35B would make more sense.
