That picture does apply,  the actual scan of that CB balun.  Of course it
will have no chance to be a balun at lower HF band frequencies.
The point of the product listing is to attract commercial business not to
start a fake news article on amateur radio reflectors.
Nobody buys a $900 Balun without talking to us first.  We then can design a
proper balun for them with safety factors built into it.
Sometimes we use hardline, transformer oil, and flanges. Many times they
cost less.  Were doing qty50 800 baluns for a defense agency right now that
are less for instance.
But having the capability is what were trying to imply.  I don't remember
but the choking reactance in the 11m band was thousands of Ohms.  You have
to be careful with 31 material you put allot of loose wound turns around it
and you have a 500 KHz balun with 5 kOhms but it dwindles to less then 300
ohms at 30 MHz.  You have to be able to measure this of course.

As a side note there are companies that duplicate our pictures which are
intentionally shown to be wrong,  and it's fun to see them proudly showing
off "their" baluns.
