I've previously had this same problem with such amplifiers. Culprit was always the capacitor associated with the timing circuit going leaky and preventing a full charge to switch the timer circuit.

Replace with a similarly rated electrolytic and the problem will most likely be resolved.

You can prove it first with a voltmeter across the capacitor to observe the charge, or rather lack of.

When I press the ON button , the panel meters illuminate amber but do not change to pale green after 60/90s as indicated. Blower starts, HV is normal : 1.5 KV but the meters do not change to green indicating "ready to transmit". This looks like a "time delay" problem. Do you have any suggestion to fix this trouble.
