Hi Jim,

You can safely do that, alright, IF you pack the INSIDE of the rig with 
something like a LOT of crushed newspaper---anything that might keep the tubes 
locked in their sockets, & that might prevent them from "floating" around in 
transit, destroying themselves...

I learned that painful lesson years ago when I mailed a Heathkit mono-bander to 
a buyer in Texas: somehow some of the tubes became unseated, & proceeded to 
float around the rig, destroying both themselves, as well as others.

Stuff that paper into the rig, & warn the buyer to remove it all prior to 
plugging it in, or he will have truly purchased himself one "...hot little 
radio"...! Hi Hi
