Ive zener regulated the BFO and last IF in my SX-17 as well as the HFO and added a TC cap to that stage. Stability is more than tolerable.

The next step is to figure out a no holes mod to the NC-300 and HRO-60.

Easier said than done. Sometimes, the change in injection level changes the loading on the bfo and changes the pitch. This is what happened with my RME 4350. A cathode follower can solve the problem, though.
