Our 6 meter contest amp which was built around a Perkin Elmer plasma
generator has a front panel adjustment for filament voltage. The meter reads
center scale of 5V with a hash mark about an 1/8" if the needle falls out of
the center hash mark you simply adjust the little knob and center the
needle. Now here is a very expensive piece of commercial equipment and this
is
how they handle filament control voltage. It's not done automatically.
The operator makes the adjustment when necessary.
