"Where was it proved that RF was passing thru the chassis and not one of
many
possible openings? I asked that question days ago and no one cared to
answer."
Consider a small metal enclosure with a coax fitting on each side and a
through connection inside. If the through conductor is made the proper
gauge, the whole assembly can approximate 52 ohms. Now obviously, all RF
will remain inside, and the box is simply an extension of the cable itself,
even the Z is the same. RF flows on the inner surface of the box just the
same as on the inner surface of the coax braid which is feeding it all. The
chassis connectors are also nearly the same Z as the cable, so RF just
passes through them as in any transmission line.
