Let's say I had a bunch of extra 10ga wire and wired the whole shack
with it, even the lighting circuit. I put a 15amp breaker in the panel
for the light circuit. Even though the wire is overkill, I'm still
OK...right?
In other words, bigger wire is OK as long as the proper breaker is used
for the circuit.
When speaking of wire size and circuit protection, we are really talking
about the MINIMUM requirements.
