  Even the word can engender an upset in certain circles...

  Late in the last millennium, I was at General Electric headquarters, on 
business, and the mere mention of PCB, meaning printed circuit board, was 
enough to silence the meeting.

  The approved term in Schenectady is: PWB, printed wiring board.
