No Way I could adhere to that.
I keep a widely varied schedule and often don't go to bed until some
where between 2:00 and 5:30 AM. I may operate for a while during
different times of the day. Even the heat in my shop is on a timer.
When I turn on the rig I turn on the amp except when just checking to
see if the band is open. If it's not I don't bother with the amp, but
if I'm hearing much of anything and particularly weak signals the amps
go on.. That means my amps my get fired up at many as 5 to 10 times a
day with 5 being typical. I'm not going to leave them running while in
the house...except for the one I have in here..when its in here.

If I fire up the rig when I walk in that's no problem...usually, but I
would find it to be an eternity if I turned on the rig and found
something rare.

Guess if I go 8877's I better get a few spares. OTOH I've never had
problems with 8873's, 8874's, or 8875's or 3-500's being turned on and
off many times a day.
