5kV on an 8877 on six meters??? Good luck with that!
Even so you have 5400V of working load voltage rating.
Sounds plenty good. Most of the reason caps let go like that
are open equalizing resistors or too small of an equalizing
resistor.
When you replace the caps, and there are many sources for
caps like that if you look, be sure you check the equalizing
resistors. Make sure they are NOT carbon, and make sure they
are all good and 100k ohms or less. They need to be metal
film or good quality wire wound.
If it was my amp I'd lower the HV to a more reasonable 4kV
or less. I also hope it has a fast electronic grid over
disconnect in it, because a few seconds of accumulated
excessive control grid current from mistuning or loss of HV
and you can cook those expense 8877 tubes. A grid fuse won't
work. Too slow. Has to be electronic cutoff.
