Ahhhhh HA,
They built two different versions of the FC-30 apparently. The toroidal
version obviously the FC-30A
I had always wondered what the difference was from an FC-30 and an FC-30A.
The box looked just a little different (cheaper looking), but I never had to
cut one of the new ones open.
That's cool that they went to toroids. That way the TWO windings wouldn't
interact as much, I'd call it a vastly improved product then.

I have some OLD FC-30 chokes in metal boxes with 4 terminals on each end.
One had a bad internal connection so I pried open the box and found that it
was made of ferrite or powdered iron toroids not ferrite sticks.
