WTB Amp with a pair of 813's.
Cliff Kurtz, N6ZU built quite a few of these, any of which I would be
happy to own - he did a damn fine job. There are other quality home
built amps I would like to consider also.
Does any one have this kind of amp abandoned & rusting in the garage?
I don't care about coverage above 14 Mhz - so if your pair of 813's
doesn't have 15 and 10, go ahead and give me a call.
Perhaps your amp has dead tubes in it, that's OK too, I can put new
tubes in it. Same for caps in the power supply etc. The amp need
not be working, just be a quality job of assembly.
One thing that's not OK, I don't want a 6 foot rack on an open
telephone relay rack in my living room. Amps over 1,000 lbs need not
apply here! I would like something that will look nice on my
operating table after it's painted and cleaned up.
If the power supply is separate and can sit on the floor with an
umbilical cable to the RF deck, I'll pay extra for that.
If the amp has 160 on it, I'll pay extra for that too.
Thanks!
