George,
I use TurboCad for all my drafting. I found it was the easiest to use of any
CAD package. They used to have a freeware version which was version 4 and is
2D. You would need to look at Turbocad.com for what's available. I have
versions 4, 7, 8, and 10 here. You can save as Autocad format with it also, and
they're a reader available which I have for it in Turbocad format .TCW. The
newer versions have 3D modeling with full 2D too.
