José --- The Al-1500 is the only manufactured HF 8877 amplifier on this
planet that has no parasite suppressor. My free advice is that this is
not is not good engineering practice.
- On the East Coast there is one AL-1500 that has reportedly eaten 4,
8877s. In my opinion, this was not caused by defective 8877s -- even
though most of the tubes were cheerfully replaced under the 12-month no
questions asked warranty.
