Has anyone bothered to consider the fact that the peak plate voltage is  
divided by the number of turns of wire in the choke, and you don't ever want  
that 
'volts per turn' number to exceed the insulation resistance of any of  the 
materials used to make the choke.
 That would include both the wire insulation and the core  material.
