I am getting parts together for my first amp. I have 3, 4-1000a tubes
,chimneys ,sockets and fil transformers . I plan on a single tube amp
for my first try , it will be for 15 and 20 meters. The power supply is
good for 0 to about 5000v. I am building the plate variable cap now ,
the first try is one with .200 gap between the plate and rotor. This gap
can be changed with out much problem until I put it together for the
last time. I was thinking about a .400 gap. I looked for a chart to
figure the gap required with but did not find one. I will max out at
about 4500v but I could run less if needed.
