They are a lot more common than you would
think Warren. You might check some of usenet
groups like rec.audio.tubes for sources of
diagrams. Hammond in Cheektowaga NY
probably sells a drop in replacement xmfr.
I have versions of that amp which have the
807, 6L6/5881 and EL-34/6CA7 on the
same chassis.
You can often find them on Ebay.
