Suggest trying the 6-20p plug/receptacle. Some of the
dryer plugs/receptacles aren't rated for many
plugs/unplugs. The 6-20p may also be less expensive,
and you can find appliance "extension cords" for it.

Also to consider -- if you move out, and the new
owners see the receptacle that you've put in, what are
they going to expect to plug into it?  Make sure the
wire, circuit breaker, and receptacle match in the
amps department (in other words, don't use #16 wire
for a 20A circuit, or put a 40A breaker on a circuit
with #12 wire... -- make sure it's done to electrical
code).
