I use a pair of 250THs in the 60s in grounded grid ( bias needed) driven
by a pair of 6146B and a 20A exciter.
Worked great I only had about 2KV plate high voltage supply at the time.

This was not too bad since I did get the legal limit on CW and a
little better than a half gallon on SSB.
If I ran 200 Watts plate input on the 6146's and had a gain of 5 that was 1
KW plate input power. A bit puny now days. With the limit being 1500 watts
PEP output.
