Electric codes are or have changed in
most states now, requiring 4 wire plugs
and receptacles for ranges and dryers in
stick built homes and have been that way
for mobile home dryers since the 1970's.
This is making 4 wire receptacles and
pigtailed plugs, sized up to 50 amp,
very inexpensive. These are not twist
lock. Should be available at your local
electrician's shop or building supply.
