Around the Dayton flea market, you can still find the original 1-1/4 inch
diameter 4 and 5 pin forms made by Hammarlund et al, usually stuffed in a box
under the table.
When I get around to it, I'm intending to machine up the necessary fixtures for
making coilstock like AirDux and B & W. Another one of those of 'one day'
jobs.....
However, this sort of discussion suggests that there are hams out there who
build equipment. These days, I wonder if that is that still allowed ?
