Pse help, somewhat beginner type questions.... SB-200 to six conversion
1.) I want to work on the input network. I am not perfectly sure abt
the resistors for tube impedance. If I understand correctly I place
abt a 200 ohm resistor from the cathode/filament to ground on both
tubes..., have a 50 ohm termination on the output, close relay and then
I can use an MFJ 259 analyzer on the input to adjust the input matching
SWR?. I know no pwr, but with the tubes in place??? Does this sound
right?
2.) To grid dip the rf choke, do I disconnect it from the circuit,
short top to bottom and then dip it in place? How abt the inductor in
the final tank circuit? How do I dip that, with load and tune cap in
approximate position?
TU for any help...(Obviously I'm no EE!) Phil W2GE
