It does a lot more than that. If you don't have frequencies, you don't have
ham radio. The ARRL plays a major part in supporting ham radio at the ITU -
probably more than any of you guys ever realise. I have the privilege of
seeing some of what they do, and how well respected ham radio is because of
the activities of ARRL and IARU. Guys like Larry Price, W4RA, Frank Butler,
W4RH and Paul Rinaldo, W4RI spend a hell of a lot of time defending ham
radio at ITU meetings, including being away from home week after week. If
all the ARRL did was fund that activity, it would be worth it.

I know what they do - I was in Phoenix for ten days two weeks ago with W4RH
and W4RI at an ITU meeting.

The ARRL isn't perfect, but it's all you've got over there. Without it
you've nothing.
