That guy chose the wrong tube for his operating style...had he chosen
3-500Z, 3-1000Z, oe 4-1000A, he would still most likely be on his
original set. My comments were strictly limited to the SB-220. All
bets are off on the ceramic tubes. I still step-start my 8877's, even
though not required. My line voltage here is high and stiff!
