what will they act like? i remember doing some research (back in the
early 60's) into the use of the common cylindrical glass fuse as
protection for expensive (then) semiconductor circuits. as i recall,
our results could be summarized like this:
"semiconductor devices are very effective overload protection for
fuses"
which is *not* what we were hoping for!
