Comments:
Due to running NAC/144 last night, and borrowed
connectors, 7 minutes late. Signals were damped
and especially 21 MHz was poor with skip over
3000 kms. Seppo, SV9/OH1VR was booming around
21.023 --- the other strong one: Dario IT9SSI.
I tested my new Lithium-Titanate-Oxide (LTO)
batteries (6 pcs 30 Ah cells in series) and
did run the IC-7300 with 47 Wh used for the
session. IC-7300 RX takes 11 watts, so 36 Wh
was used for key-down dots and dashes. IC-7300
efficiency is poor, taking 260 watts DC for
100W RF-out, so I was making RF-output 36/260 =
about 14% of the hour. On Monday I did run
OK1WC Memorial on 7 MHz using 26 Wh, doing
S/P only. These batteries store 410 Wh, so
I could RUN some 4 hours with this pack at
full cranking (50/50 RX/TX). Assuming 50%
keydown during CW TX.
Cheers/73, Zaba OH1ZAA #1856 CWops
