It was nice to have energy and no pain while I was on antibiotics and steroids!
All finished now. But I am not going to slow down with work outside, although I
might start to wear gloves more frequently.
Worked on cleaning up the aluminum jungle and put some bolts on the 80 meter 4
square where the hose clamps were not able to hold the tubing together.
Received my Starlink equipment. It works, but not very fast - about 35mbps. (My
son across town has fiber and is at 250 mbps up and down.) Getting their stupid
large right angle connector into the house, and ordering a roof mount (rather
than asking the customer what they need) will delay permanent installation. But
Verizon has been about 8 down and 9 up and I am tired of wasting time on the
phone with them and don't like the lies.
40 wpm. Lots of callers at the beginning. 1315Z had 57 QSOs. But at 1320 had
to start calling CQ and there were no multiple callers. At 1330Z had 101 QSOs
and I was into the weaker layer. VE3s were generally weak. At 1345z the east
coast was weakening. The Pacific NW never was strong, but worked a few.
S&P the last 15 minutes because nobody called in and there were not too many
left calling CQ. N7US still beats me out on 40. Need some gain and directivity
for the weak guys. Need mounting hardware and posts for the bottom of the 4
square, phasing lines, controller. Lots to do.
