Comments:
Aurora jumped in almost immediately after the
1300Z session and peaked up to 83 GW at 1642Z.
Gradually declining from 52 GW to 42 GW during
the 1900Z session. Indices K=5 followed by K=4.
North America was difficult. I could only reach
VE3EJ on 21 MHz and N4AF on 14 MHz. Average rate
comes down when one tries to reach each station
for 3 - 4 minutes, and own CQ's yield no response.
IT9SSI had a cracking signal on 21 MHz and EA2KV
was also strong, but both S/P. Everyone else was
at scatter level. On 14 MHz Europe was strong,
and Carlos PY4XX was heard. This time the range
that was completely blanketed during the 1300Z
session on 14 MHz, was at 599 strength. Last few
minutes spent on 7 MHz.
Cheers/73, Zaba OH1ZAA #1856 CWops
