Comments:
The tuning problems of the previous session
were bypassed by installing a wire stub with
12 feet (360 cm) of wire taped onto a plastic
rail at the base of the vertical. Thus getting
the voltage max on 7 MHz 'away' from the tuner.
The only USA-signal on 14 MHz moving the S-meter
was from W1VE. Spent 4 minutes in the AA3B-pileup
but no luck. Weak DX not even for the fingers of
one hand, but CT9ABV was strong.
Moved to 7 MHz at 1915Z to witness a sort of brexit
with failing G-land signals, but it all became clear
when finally switching to 3.5 MHz and getting RSGB
contest responses from the U.K. So, participated in
that one for the last 15 minutes while leaving this
write-up for later (till after local midnight).
Cheers/73, Zaba OH1ZAA #1856
