Station description: TS930S-LK500ZB 1500 watts
Antennas: A3S @ 30feet, 40m vertical, 80m dipole @ 30 feet
I arrived on Thursday afternoon and put up my antennas on Friday.
The openings to Europe were very short but had good openings to
the Far East. Because of the conditions, there was a lot of
non-productive time and I only operated about 28 hours. I still
have a high noise level from the power lines here which I need
to find. It sure is different operating from the west coast and
most of my contacts were S&P. Very few signals from Europe on
20m and they were very watery. I just couldn't get any answers
to my CQs from Europe despite a very clear frequency on 15 meters.
On 10m, only worked southern Europe (EA, F, I). However, I was
very surprised at the results with such a simple setup. 73, Kurt
