Team: Florida Contest Group
Antenna: A G5RV too low to the ground :-(
20 meters was nice but very crowded so since I can run there, I couldn't
rack up anyting much. 40 wasn't bad. 80? No one could hear me. I must of
have spent an hour getting the THREE total contacts on that band. I shut
down at 04:30 because I couldn't work anyone. I had nice runs in Jan on 40
and 80, they never developed. Glad I went down to 40 around 2100 for
awhile. Kept going back to 20 to find new ones though.
Biggest suprise: Finding W0MU on 15 around 0200ish with 20+ signal and being
told I had a big signal! Mike was the only one on that band I could hear
and the last of 5 Q's on 15 all day.
Biggest disappointment: Not being able to get anything going on 80. Also I
was on track to signifigantly beat my previous highest in Jan (9045 points)
but then found I couldn't equal it due to 80.
On 40 only worked WC4E and N4DL as my sole Florida contacts. Ran into a
local casual operator on 20 and worked him for Florida on 20 also.
.... I need an antenna :-(

Paul
