Generally mediocre conditions (but much better than last weekend for the NAQP
CW version) and a lot of "diode" propagation on the lower bands but that's
nothing new. Outside temperatures in the -33 C range made rotators (most HAM IV
and T2X) sluggish but most did turn. The one exception (wish I had a dozen of
them!) is the Wilson 1000 - it never even slows down at -40 while turning a
full size 3 el 40! The large homebrew worm drive system that turns the log
periodic also works at these low temps - kerosene in the gear box instead of
gear oil works well!
