TT's
Erecting Towers and installing antennas, I have come to one conclusion, NO
two installations are identical. and there are many ways to skin a Cat ( sorry
animal lovers )
Discussing the use of temporary guys on cemented in towers optional ( depending
on the guy spacing) but a MUST on pier pin instillations .
I have three Discarded Mig welder reels, each with 125' of 7X19 strand 3/16
Stainless steel cable. One end with a cinched forged snap hook the other end
is left open
I stretch them to the permanent guy anchor and secure it with a comalong
attached to the guy anchor and a guy grip attached to the temporary guy cable
and ratchet them taunt.
This technique has been developed because of only ONE reason.. PUCKER
experiences when using ROPE as temporary guys. BTDT with different type ropes.
I use the same cable for Tram line,on a 300' reel ( I don't like to use rope
for tram lines ) have that be single or duel installations tram configuration.
YMMV
