I just got done rebuilding a 30 year old T2X with the same issues that you described. I ended up having Norm from Norm's Rotor's send me some grease that they use for their rebuilds. It was semi-thick and blue in color. It's been working good for a month and I must admit that I feel good about using what they use (seems like good reviews on Eham for what he does).
