I am curious as to what antenna configuration wore out the keyway. I have 3
HDR-300's (one with a control box issue that needs to be resolved) but have
never had one in service. I have a KT-34XA (with some M-Squared upgrades)
that may go on one '300 and at least a long-boom (40+ foot) six meter yagi
and a 3.2-wavelength 2-meter yagi on the other. Are either of those
configurations too much for the '300?
Yes, I am in a wind-prone area of northern Nevada where 30-40 mph winds,
with gusting above 50 mph, are not uncommon.
