| Dave W0FLS is correct in that the Hi-Z system should need no additional amplification or any limiting to protect the receiver. The preamp as supplied should perform to about +30 dBm TOI. Johns problem suggests the need to check the system from end to end with a signal source of some kind to verify the overall system gain. I have sent John private messages to that effect.
