Hello Jim!

For your suburban lot, you might try a EWE or a VE3DO loop.

The "DO" loop is 40 feet long and 10 feet high. We are using a pair of these
loops (phased at 5/8 wavelength spacing) at K3LR and the performance has
been outstanding.

I'll send the DO construction notes direct to your email address.

Tim K3LR

Top Banders,

I live on a 100x200 suburban lot. I have an inverted L up 70 feet and
across 60 ft. It's not much of a RX antenna.

Here is the question.

Would it be worth it for me to put up an approximate 190-200 foot
beverage aimed at Eu for RX? Will it work? Will it be better than my
Inv L on RX?

I can also put up an ~ 160 ft beverage aimed at JA, UA0, UA9 ... would
the short bev be better than my inverted L on RX?

Thanks for your input,

Jim N4DU

p s - I'd be using the Array Solutions SWSD-1 bev box
